What are Pelicano's opening hours?
Friday 5pm–3am and Saturday 12pm–3am. Closed Sunday to Thursday except for private events.
Is Pelicano a restaurant or a nightclub?
Both. It's a restaurant and terrace bar from 5pm (12pm on Saturdays) that becomes a nightclub from 10pm until 3am.
Where is Pelicano?
Level 1, 33 Bayswater Road, Potts Point, Sydney — the former Hugos Lounge, four minutes' walk from Kings Cross station.
Do I need to book?
For the restaurant, booking is recommended via SevenRooms or 0435 779 075. For the club, walk-ins are welcome; VIP tables and the guestlist can be requested online.
Is there a cover charge?
A cover charge may apply at the door on club nights. Guestlist and table guests receive priority entry — details are confirmed when you book.
What's the dress code?
Smart casual for dinner; smart after 10pm. No activewear, sportswear or work boots in the club.
What's the age limit?
18+ after 10pm with valid photo ID.
Can I hire Pelicano for a private event?
Yes — the Terrace Bar, Disco Room, Cocktail Lounge, Restaurant or the whole venue, seven days a week by arrangement. Start at the Events page.
How do I book a VIP table?
Use the table request form on the VIP tables page or call 0422 119 429.
Is there parking?
Street parking on Bayswater Road and surrounding streets, plus secure car parks within a few minutes' walk. Rideshare drop-off is at the door.
Is Pelicano accessible?
The venue is on Level 1. Please call 0422 119 429 before your visit and we'll talk through access and make arrangements.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy-aware options with notice.
Can I stay for the club after dinner?
Yes. Dinner guests can move through to the club when it opens at 10pm; ask your waiter about priority entry.
